The Yoast SEO plugin

If you have a site built by us it will probably have the Yoast SEO plugin installed. Yoast updated this several months ago now and made the user interface much harder to use, not good.  After a lot of feedback (mine included) they have changed the plugin back to the original style but with real time feedback on the size of your page title and meta description.

So now if you click on the EDIT SNIPPET button you’ll see the old style editor appear, thanks goodness. If it’s not already been updated and you’re on one of our WordPress Care Plans it will be updated very shortly as part of your plan.

The page title and meta description are really important for your Google rankings, REALLY IMPORTANT.  If you do one thing on your website this month go through all your pages and make sure the page titles and meta descriptions are unique and describe exactly what’s on your websites pages.
