Where and how to get more reviews
I don’t usually regurgitate other peoples content but I work with a great company called Bright Local and they just sent out a really interesting email about reviews.
Before I reference this you should really have a Google My Business page (now called a Google Business Profile) and ask for reviews there. Once you’ve setup your Google Business Profile leave it for a few weeks then go to https://www.brightlocal.com/free-local-seo-tools/google-id-and-review-link-generator/ and pop in your company name, click on it then get the links. One is to your My Business page, one is a direct link to ask for reviews which you can use on your website and in emails, and one to your actual reviews, all VERY USEFUL. If you already have a My Business page then just do this now.
HERE’S THE CONTENT OF THE BRIGHT LOCAL EMAIL:
This year’s Local Consumer Review Survey found that the top three methods most likely to encourage consumers to leave online reviews were:
📧 Email (34%)
🤠 In-person (33%)
🧾 Receipts or invoices (32%)
The survey also asked:
- Where are consumers looking for online reviews?
- What would influence a consumer to leave a business review?
- What are consumers paying the most attention to in online reviews?
- Where are consumers seeing fake reviews?
So, grab a coffee and settle in as we explore all things consumer reviews.
