Eye opening demo of texting at the wheel

It’s rare I share stuff that I get sent from friends but this is excellent.

As many of you may know I am a keen motorcyclist and regularly go exploring Scotland for a weekend tour, we are lucky to live in such a wonderful country. On a motorcycle you see down into cars and I can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen texting on their lap while driving.  You can usually spot them before you draw along side by their cars movement.

This is a superb video make by Volkswagen. A Hong Kong movie theatre asked its patrons to leave their mobile phones ON when they enter the theatre.

If you have to text then use the voice control, but do you HAVE TO?  iPhone with Siri and Android with Google Voice make texting and sending texts completely voice activated.  Even this does distract you but it’s far less dangerous than typing.
